Our principal and staff

Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.

Welcome to Old Bar Public School!

At Old Bar Public School, we proudly serve a vibrant community of 485 students across 20 classes, creating a dynamic and inclusive environment where every child is known, valued, and cared for. Guided by the comprehensive NSW Department of Education curriculum, our school offers a diverse range of programs, enriched by extra-curricular activities developed in collaboration with our dedicated staff and the broader school community.

Technology plays a central role in our classrooms, with every class equipped with Interactive Whiteboards that make learning both engaging and effective. Our focus on technology ensures that students are not only prepared for the future but are also actively engaged in their learning journey today.

We are deeply committed to catering to the diverse needs of our students, offering differentiated learning experiences that allow every child to reach their true potential. Our MC (Multi-Categorical) class, along with the support of our dedicated Support Learning Staff Officers (SLSOs), provides tailored assistance to students, ensuring they feel supported both in the classroom and on the playground.

Our school community is characterised by its strong, supportive spirit, where parents, teachers, and staff work hand in hand to create a nurturing environment for our students. This partnership is reflected in the happiness of our children, who thrive in an environment where they are encouraged to achieve Success By The Sea.

At Old Bar Public School, we aim to:

We are incredibly proud of the many accomplishments of our students and the vibrant, supportive community that makes Old Bar Public School such a special place. Together, we continue to build a future where every child can thrive.

Thank you for being an essential part of our school community and welcome!

Kind regards,
Phil Harris
Principal
